Patients
If you have a debilitating hip or knee joint condition, or know of someone who does, please read this information carefully.
HOW THIS WORKS:
1. Find a participating center nearest to you from the alphabetical list below. You may contact that center directly.
2. Each participating center establishes its own criteria for patient participation, and each potential patient is subject to rigorous screening and approval process.
3. The center you contact will guide you through the qualifying process, and will answer your specific questions regarding surgery, prosthetic device, anesthesia, hospital stay, medication, rehabilitation, etc.
4. You must be able and willing to travel to a center that will accept you as patient. Your travel costs, and those of any accompanying family and friends, will not be covered or reimbursed as part of this program.
5. If you have a compelling story to tell, email us at hip@aaos.org. Although a match with a participating physician is not guaranteed, we will keep your information on file for any similar programs in the future.
